Number of Homes for Sale vs. Sold vs. Pending

July 2010 there were 1168 homes for sale in Stockton, California in comparison to July 2011 where there was a decrease to 1053 homes for sale. The number of homes sold in July 2010  was 407 and in July 2011 the number of homes sold decreased to 354. In July 2010 there were 398 pending sales which increased to 544 in July 2011.

April 2010 there were 884 homes for sale in Stockton, California in comparison to April 2011 where there was an increase to 1052 homes for sale. The number of homes sold in April 2010  was 457 and in April 2011 the number of homes sold decreased to 387. In April 2010 there were 531 pending sales which increased to 606 in April 2011.

Stockton No. 2 in U.S. Foreclosures!

The foreclosure crisis continues as the Las Vegas area leads the nation with one notice of default, auction or repossession per 86 housing units. San Joaquin County had one foreclosure filing in 130 housing units. But, believe it or not, there is some good news! All areas of California posted declines in November if you compare it to November 2009.

For more information about foreclosures the best source is usually RealtyTrac or you can use my method for the Stockton area and just count how many pages of legal notices appear in the Record, our local newspaper.
